Mission Statement:

The Rome Radio Club, Inc. was formed for the benefit of all and will remain true to it's sanctioned tasks as set forth below...
To operate as a non-profit corporation for educational & scientific purposes.  To educate & increase the proficiency of it's members in the science of radio communication.  To provide for the dissemination of information among it's members concerning scientific advancement & progress in the field of radio communications.  To organize and train units of licensed radio amateurs capable of maintaining radio communication as a public service during periods of emergency or disaster.  To encourage & sponsor experimental activities in radio communication & electronics, to the end that skills and experiance gained in amateur radio will further the application of electronics to the benefit of the public at large.  To promote the elevation of standards of practice and ethics in the conduct of amateur radio communication.  To assist those aspiring novitiates to obtain the knowledge and proficiency necessary to become licensed radio amateurs.

REPEATER STATUS:

The Rome Radio Club, Inc. operates a repeater on 146.8800 MHz in the amateur radio band under the callsign W2OFQ which can be accessed by any licensed amateur radio operator.  The status of the repeater can be found here.  At this time, the repeater is ONLINE and functioning as intended.
